Equipped with his DJI Phantom UAV, firefighter-paramedic James Hall was able to do what dozens of other firefighters, police officers, search dogs, and even a helicopter were unable to do after days of combing a remote island in Massachusetts for a missing person. Flying 100 feet above muddy terrain too dangerous to search on foot, Hall’s Phantom was able to spot a color differentiation in the marsh, ultimately leading rescue workers to the body of William Fleming who was reported missing by his family on December 20, 2015.
